All time Ranking : Best female classic riders

There have been plenty of rankings about men's cycling already but what about the women's side of the sport? For the first time, we have an adequate balanced women's ranking today who shows some of the best riders in the sport on an objective way. In 1998, the UCI organized the World Cup for the first time, and women had their first official top division in the sport. In this ranking, you find all riders who ever won an one day race in the World Cup/Women's World Tour or World title and attributed points according to the importance of the race. Stage races weren't included this ranking. Although that there used to be stage races in the past too, the prestige of them changed a lot over the years and just including those who have been part of the later Women's World Tour would mainly benefit the more recent pros. By keeping things in balance, we can make a ranking of the best one day racers based on objective data.

Method

To reward riders according to the importance races that they won, they get rewarded by a different amount of points according to the prestige of the race :

World title : 3 points

Monuments : 2 points  (Primavera Rosa, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège)

Other races : 1 point
